Grandis ensemble au sein de la compagnie Sybel Ballet Théâtre, formés ensuite au CNDC d’Angers, Aicha M'Barek et Hafiz Dhaou, signent, avec Khaddem Hazem, une pièce nourrie d’influences et qui s’inscrit, d’emblée, dans un rapport de questionnement entre danse contemporaine et danse traditionnelle. Khaddem  désigne un ouvrier, un homme à tout faire et  Hazem, le bassin, cette partie du corps qui génère tant de fantasmes, symbole de fertilité et de création. Soutenus par une bande sonore très évocatrice, les deux artistes puisent dans la mémoire de leurs corps, à la croisée des petites et grandes histoires qui ont marqué le quotidien de leur enfance tunisienne, entre pesanteur et grâce. Ces artistes du corps, ces “ouvriers du bassin”, dessinent, au gré d’une déambulation sans but défini, des figures en mouvement perpétuel, où à peine esquissées, des étreintes se défont en roulades ou en chutes solitaires. Un va et vient entre intimité et retenue, entre sensualité et pudeur, comme un jeu insolent pour ce quatuor, aux physiques très différents et que sa complicité rend particulièrement attachant.

After growing up together at Sybel Ballet Théâtre and continuing their training at Centre national de danse contemporaine / National centre for contemporary dance in Angers, Aicha M'Barek and Hafiz Dhaou have created “Khaddem Hazem”, a piece with diverse influences which from the start, serves as a forum for questions between contemporary and traditional dance. “Khaddem” refers to a worker, a jack of all trades, and “Hazem” to the pelvis, the starting point of so many fantasies, symbolising fertility and creation. Supported by a very evocative soundscape, the two artists draw from the memory of their bodies, at the crossroads of minor and major incidents which marked their daily lives as Tunisian children, between weight and grace. Through their aimless ambulation, these artists of the body, these "workers of the pelvis" trace figures in perpetual motion where, as quickly as it forms, an embrace falls away into a solitary roll or fall. The result is a give-and-take between intimacy and restraint, between sensuality and modesty, like an impertinent game between this quartet, bringing together their diverse physiques with a very touching complicity.
